Abstract
Description
The Directorate of Police Intelligence has made many efforts to improve its administrative processes, the purpose of the research project was to describe and analyze the current performance evaluation process with the aim of establishing a new evaluation process for this Police Directorate, in this sense In order to achieve the objective, we decided to use a method of research with a mixed approach of descriptive scope with a non-experimental transversal design; in which the finite population was 554 members that provided enough information to implement 3 research instruments that provided us with information that led us to identify that the instrument applied for the evaluation of performance is standard for all the police directorates of the country. when they perform different functions. Likewise, based on the analysis of the interviewed consultants, we conclude that new evaluation models must be implemented that are linked to the objectives of the position and the direction to improve individual and collective performance. In this sense, we made the recommendation to implement a generic performance evaluation manual for the Police Intelligence Directorate that included aspects such as a new process for the application of an instrument that evaluated the performance in the workplace and included the feedback as an essential part of the process.
