Este estudio se realizó con el fin de evaluar el control de inventarios en Fintec Soluciones
ubicada en Centro comercial Los Castaños en la Ciudad de San Pedro Sula, Departamento de
Cortes, Honduras. Se consideró necesario realizar un análisis de los inventarios para proponer un
modelo para la gestión de inventarios. En la investigación se utilizó la recolección de datos y
análisis de la observación, el proceso metodológico está compuesto por un método cuantitativo,
con un estudio no experimental, el tipo de muestra utilizado fue el no probabilístico, aplicando
técnicas estadísticas y análisis de datos. En esta investigación se resaltan diferentes áreas críticas
en la gestión de los inventarios de la empresa Fintec Soluciones que, al ser abordadas con éxito,
pueden resultar en una mejora significativa en la rentabilidad y eficiencia operativa la empresa.
La implementación de indicadores clave de rendimiento (KPIs) posibilitó una supervisión más
precisa y eficiente del desempeño en la administración de inventarios, lo que resultó en una mayor
rapidez al tomar decisiones. El análisis ABC permitió la identificación y priorización de los
productos de alto valor, posibilitando la implementación de medidas específicas para mejorar su
gestión. La mejora en los pronósticos de la demanda tuvo un impacto significativo en la reducción
de los niveles de inventario obsoleto, disminuyendo las pérdidas y optimizando los recursos
financieros de la empresa. Se destaca que la combinación estratégica de KPIs, análisis ABC y
pronósticos de demanda ha resultado ser fundamental para optimizar la gestión de inventarios. Una
vez concluida la investigación y aplicadas las implementaciones de mejora, se obtuvo como
resultado el rechazo de la hipótesis nula, dando como evidencia que la implementación si es
aceptable.
This study was carried out in order to evaluate inventory control at Fintec Soluciones located in the Los Castaños Shopping Center in the City of San Pedro Sula, Department of Cortés, Honduras. It was considered necessary to carry out an analysis of the inventories to propose a model for inventory management. The research used data collection and analysis of observation, the methodological process is composed of a quantitative method, with a non-experimental study, the type of sample used was non-probabilistic, applying statistical techniques and data analysis. This research highlights different critical areas in the management of inventories of the company Fintec Soluciones that, when successfully addressed, can result in a significant improvement in the efficiency and operations of the company. The implementation of key performance indicators (KPIs) enabled more accurate and efficient monitoring of inventory management performance, resulting in faster decision-making. The ABC analysis allowed the identification and prioritization of high-value products, enabling the implementation of specific measures to improve their management, which increased the maximization of return on investment. The improvement in demand forecasts had a significant impact on reducing obsolete inventory levels, reducing losses and optimizing the company's financial resources. It is highlighted that the strategic combination of KPIs, ABC analysis and demand forecasts has proven to be essential to optimize inventory management. Once the research was concluded and the improvement implementations were applied, the result was the rejection of the null hypothesis, giving evidence that the implementation is acceptable.
