El proceso de práctica profesional es un hito crucial que marca el final de varios años de
estudio, donde se exploran las complejidades técnicas de la ingeniería civil, especialmente
en áreas de diseño. Sin embargo, la transición del ámbito teórico al práctico suele ser un
desafío, ya que la experiencia en el campo rara vez se aborda completamente en el aula.
La práctica profesional sirve como puente entre la teoría y la realidad laboral, brindando a
los estudiantes la oportunidad de aplicar sus conocimientos en proyectos y trabajos reales
dentro de su campo de estudio. En este caso específico, la experiencia se desarrolló en
colaboración con la empresa "TRANSMACAH S. de R.L. de C.V.".
Durante este periodo, se participó en diversos proyectos de infraestructura, incluyendo la
construcción de redes viales no pavimentadas en Chamelecon y Ciudad del Carmen, así
como trabajos de terracería en el nuevo hospital regional de Santa Bárbara. Además, se
realizaron actividades administrativas como la elaboración de estimaciones de obra y la
presentación de documentos para pagos, tanto en la municipalidad de San Pedro Sula como
para clientes privados.
Esta experiencia ofreció una perspectiva integral, combinando el trabajo de campo con
tareas administrativas. Desde la supervisión de la obra y el control de calidad hasta el cálculo
de cantidades de material y la elaboración de planillas salariales, se obtuvo una visión
completa de los procesos involucrados en la ejecución de proyectos de ingeniería civil. Este
enfoque mixto proporcionó una experiencia de aprendizaje enriquecedora y versátil en
ambos aspectos.
The process of professional practice is a crucial milestone that marks the end of several years of study, where the technical complexities of civil engineering, especially in design areas, are explored. However, the transition from theoretical to practical often proves to be a challenge, as field experience is rarely fully addressed in the classroom. Professional practice serves as a bridge between theory and the actual work reality, providing students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge in projects and real jobs within their field of study. In this specific case, the experience was developed in collaboration with the company "TRANSMACAH S. de R.L. de C.V.". During this period, involvement in various infrastructure projects occurred, including the construction of unpaved road networks in Chamelecon and Ciudad del Carmen, as well as earthworks at the new regional hospital in Santa Bárbara. Additionally, administrative activities such as preparing work estimates and submitting documents for payments were conducted, both in the municipality of San Pedro Sula and for private clients. This experience offered a comprehensive perspective, combining fieldwork with administrative tasks. From site supervision and quality control to material quantity calculations and payroll preparation, a complete view of the processes involved in executing civil engineering projects was obtained. This mixed approach provided a rich and versatile learning experience in both aspects.
