El siguiente documento de tesis presenta una propuesta de proyecto para potenciar e incrementar el interés y la matrícula en la Escuela Normal Mixta Bilingüe Pedro Nufio, para la Secretaría de Educación, en particular dirigida al Distrito Educativo # 5 de la ciudad de Tegucigalpa, el cual pretende mejorar la percepción de la carrera docente en el nivel de media para futuros postulantes, la metodología utilizada fue de carácter cuantitativo, se desarrolló una serie de recopilación de información, en donde se encontraron factores relevantes que influyen en el interés y desinterés de la población de estudiantes y egresados de la carrera de formación docente, los cuales fueron una base sólida para la elección de dicha propuesta. De esta manera se espera que la creación de la estrategia sea eficiente al sistema de educación pública de Honduras y pueda mejorar el estatus de matrícula del actual centro de formación docente en educación media de Tegucigalpa.
